The Order of the Eastern Star is a Masonic-related fraternity of women and men dedicated to charity, truth and loving kindness. Although not a part of the Masonic fraternity, membership is based on a Masonic affiliation or relationship. With approximately 1 million members under the General Grand Chapter, it is the largest fraternal organization in the world to which both women and men may belong.

Eastern Star is a social order comprised of persons with spiritual values, but it is not a religion and is open to all faiths, except no faith. Its appeal rests in the true beauty of the refreshing and character-building lessons that are portrayed trough the ritualistic work which teach lessons of fidelity, constancy, loyalty, faith and love. The lessons are spiritual and teach to have a deep love for God, country and family. The Eastern Star represents common bond among members based upon a fundamental faith, a belief in a Supreme Being and a desire to acquire insight for self improvement, future study and understanding. Through leadership development, meaningful service to the community, charity work and a strong sense of brother & sisterhood we are able to promote self confidence and fellowship.

The personal welfare of our members is vital to all of those in the Eastern Star, and it is considered a privilege to help another member whenever we can. Our local Chapter also contributes to several charities and has an active involvement in our local community, from fundraisers to festivals, breakfasts to BBQ's. There are Grand Chapter projects as well, including scholarships for our youth, emergency aide for our members and support for the Eastern Star Senior Living Community. We also proudly support young women's organizations such as Rainbow for Girls and Job's Daughters.

The Eastern Star is a social organization with frequent formal events and ceremonies (did we mention the breakfasts & BBQ's?). Being a member can be an enriching and a fulfilling way of life. Please feel free to Contact Us if you have any questions or visit our F.A.Q page.

Master Masons in good standing, the wives, mothers, daughters, legally adopted daughters, widows, sisters, half-sisters, step daughters and step-sisters of Master Masons in good standing at the time of death are eligible for membership. Rainbow Girls and Job's Daughters with three or more year's membership in those youth groups before petitioning are eligible for membership in the OES.
